Hi Guys/Girls.
So this will be my first post on here , and would love some meaningful feedback.
So first my back story: I was a very fit individual in school that did all the sports available and even excelled in a few of them.I finished school in 2012 and played club rugby and ran until 2016. Midway through the year our shifts changed at work where i would be working 17 hour shifts. This has been going on for 2 or 3 years. It is now 2019 and our shifts are finally back to normal. So in the meantime my weight shot up from a healthy 190 LBS , to a disgusting 260 lbs. SO i am not trying to blame the times , as i was definitely able to keep my diet clean if i wanted to , but like they say , the proof is here , extreme hypertension at the age of 24. So now i am working my way back down to a healthy weight. I decided to follow the recommendations provided by my fitness pal. According to the app i should be aiming for 1650 calories. 206g carbs , 83g protein and 55g fat. This might not be the best ratio , but at least it gives me something to start on. today is my 2nd day and it feels like i am eating a crap load of food , but not even hitting the 1650 target. And i am measuring everything i eat , so it is fairly accurate. It might also be because i am eating way more protein during the day , than i used to do. If anyone that is in the same situation , or was in the same situation can give me some feedback it would be awesome.I will be listing a normal day of eating for me now , on my improvised diet.
- Breakfast 80g oats and 3 whole eggs
- Lunch 50g ground mince , Brown rice.
- Dinner Brown rice , can of tuna , some mixed veg and a chicken breast.
- snacks : normally another can of tuna and a potato , peanuts and an apple.Spread out during the day.
I exceed my protein recommendation , but do not hit my carbs.
as for exercise , at the moment i will just be walking/running to build back up to running regularly , and will be doing some cross training once i get accustomed to training again.
thanks for reading to my possibly incoherent post , and for providing me with tips i advance.
cheers
