-my mum has had polycystic ovaries for a long time, and is overweight.
-it is causing multiple muscular/joint problems like arthritis which cannot be treated because of her weight.
I tried to help her finally lose weight by tracking her food using MFP. I did it myself because she is not great with technology and I wanted to be sure of the data. (I think my tracking made her eat less as well, although we didn't plan this). So after a month of tracking I see she is getting 1000-1400 cals per day, about 1300 on average. Yet her weight is not dropping at all.
So I'm totally stumped. It bothers me because she is suffering and it's something I should be able to help with: I've been lifting for about 15 years and work in nutrition. But I don't know what else can be done. There must be a way for her to lose weight - it's just physics. Does anyone know or have experience?
