For most of the month of November, I was assigned another location which is a bit far for me. So the journey's to and from were much longer, so each evening I often just felt like I got get home relax for a while and not do anything physical.
Which two exceptions, one night I went to a light yoga class and about weeks ago I did a Saturday Krav maga seminar, that was really the only physical activities that I did.
Last night I decided to take a plunge and go to the gym and step back on the treadmill. Initially I just thought about taking it easy and go slower since I hadn't done it in a while. Since I felt comfortable at the speed I was at, I decided to increase it.
In the space of an hour I had managed to run just over 8k. Even I woke up late and it raining a bit today, I decided to head back down again to today.
Sometimes when I hadn't done any running in a while it usually causes injuries to my legs and I was a bit worried about it. Today though I felt fine and just the same thing again in the space of an hour.
Afterwards I had the highness, where I could just let go of stress and anxieties from the week.
For a while this year, I started doing BJJ just once a week. The school recently bought a larger studio and is starting back in just over a week so that's something I just try to take up again.
I think for a while I was using work and the stress of the job as an excuse to not do anything and acting like I just need a rest afterwards, but the trick is to just go anyway. I'll laways feel much better afterwards.
What's the best way to keep this sense of motivation?
