Addicted to sugar no more!

Hello friends! First time poster on this subreddit, but I religiously look here daily for inspiration and motivation. I started my journey very recently. About 6 weeks ago. I've lost 11 pounds so far, and I'm in it for the long haul baby! I haven't felt this good in awhile. I used to eat only takeout every day, lots of sweets and sugary drinks, you name it, if it had sugar in it, I wanted it.

Since starting to eat better and tracking my calories, I have limited my sugar intake significantly. The cravings are still there, and I treat myself with some dark chocolate if I can fit it into my calories for the day.

Yesterday, I was with a friend, and they happened to have bought one of my favorite tea drinks, Joe's Tea Ginseng Honey. I asked if I could have a sip, and as soon as I tasted the tea, I almosted gagged. It was wayyyyyy too sweet for me, to the point where I didn't even want a second sip. I used to drink these teas no problem, chugging them even.

I'm so shocked at how quickly my taste for sugar has changed! This is definitely a NSV for me that I never thought would happen. From the girl who would eat an entire bag of candy, to a girl who can barely stand a sweetened drink.

Here's to the rest of the journey and so many new revelations! Cheers!
