I need help. Lots of help. I am 5ft 4in and currently weigh 12 stone. My normal weight is 9.5 stone and I would like to get back to that. My weight gain was caused predominantly by long term, high dose steroids for auto immune conditions and this is where I struggle badly.
The only vegetables I can eat are peas, potatoes, tiny amounts of swede and asparagus. Every other vegetable causes huge flares.(bowel disease).Onions are my arch enemy and I cannot tolerate them at all. I’m fine with most fruit thankfully.
I am a carb addict. I’m vegetarian and I’m riddled with arthritis. I’ve such a lot going for me! 😁
I’ve been looking at meal replacement shakes but I’ve no idea if they’re any good. I am pretty active but would like to do more without breaking anything and would really appreciate any advice on diet and exercise.
I have been to my gp who suggested walking more but I walk a lot and I’m still chubby. She has advised not cutting out carbs as my blood sugars tank, I’m not diabetic I’m a bit stuck if I’m honest. I want to be pre steroid me but unsure how to get there. Can you help me please? I don’t want to turn 50 looking like this. Thank you.
