I am 6 feet tall, and weigh about 330 pounds. I want to lose weight until I reach about 200 pounds. I used to play football in high school, so do have a fairly strong build. However, I do have a lot of unwanted fat on my body, especially around the chest, stomach, and thighs. I want to lose enough weight while simultaneously retaining and building muscle under the fat. I've been recently trying to diet and exercise, but I'm not sure if I need to do anything else? I'm leaving a list of meals I eat in a day as an example:
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, 1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1/4 blueberries, 1 banana
Dinner/Lunch: 2 Tilapia or Chicken thighs, mixed vegetables, rice
I'm thinking about adding whey isolate protein shakes into the mix just so that I can curb any unnecessary cravings during the day, as over eating is my main issue. I've also been trying to work out 4 times a week (mostly weights).
Is there anything I should be doing or not doing?
