Hi all, I have been steadily gaining wait for the past few months and I just don't understand why.
I am a 25 year old male office worker, between my work and commute this is about 12 to 14 hours of my day. I eat a bowl of cereal usually for breakfast, a small sandwich from a cafeteria near my office, and then dinner consisting of usually chicken, greens, rice, etc.
Because of my insane work hours, I am not able to go to the gym during the week, I do spend 3-4 hours in the gym over the weekend and try jog 6-8 miles on the treadmill, the rest of my time in the gym is spent on weightlifting.
I try to avoid sugar, I don't eat late at night, I avoid fried food, and I usually keep my calorie consumption below 2000 calories. Yet, I continuously gain weight, it seems like a pound or half a month!
I don't get it, is it work? It has been extremely stressful this year. What am supposed to eat then? I want to get this under control and ideally lose 20 pounds, but I have no idea where to start. Any advice would be welcome!
