I've been big since I was about ten, and only got bigger through my teens and twenties. At my biggest I weighed over 300lbs. I've been accustomed to wearing XXXL/XXL shirts and jackets for my entire adult life. After a total loss of 127lbs~ (from two rounds of losing with maintenance between) I've shrunk down to a Small and I just can't wrap my head around it. At first, I thought "Well, this particular shirt is a Small, but it's probably just a vanity Small." or "Maybe this brand runs large". Every Small I try on fits me perfectly and I'm having a hard time accepting that it's true. This goes hand in hand with still seeing the same fat dude every time I look in the mirror, but you would think that something as concrete as a new Small leather jacket would change my outlook, but it doesn't.
I've seen people on here discuss body dysmorphia and I am definitely experiencing that. I just thought that it would stop as evidence mounted against my perception, but so far it hasn't. If anyone has broken through this issue I would love to hear about it and any tips you may have.
