“Another” new start...

So I’ve been in and out of dieting for the last couple years, I had a really good stretch back when I graduated high school and went from 240-250 down to 160, I hit a point where I was happy and started normalizing my eating habits again...mistake, I slowly but surely started to gain weight and the ever so confident me figured “170? No big deal”, “180? Bah, I’ll lose that no problem” “190, oh maybe I need to do something” “200? What am I doing” “215?!?”

And I’ve hovered around this weight thanks to my job, 200-215 seems to be my stopping point of my current calorie intake and physical calorie burn from my job. However, for the last year I’ve done the back and forth thing in my mind.

Basically one morning I’ll wake up motivated to get back into the hard core dieting and activity, then by lunch time it’s over, game on, where’s my cheese steak and tasty cakes. I have no idea why I can’t seem to latch onto that motivation and control I had before. My mind just switches to not caring when I get hungry and then I eat whatever and then “BAM” the guilt sets in, the next morning same thing.

I’ve tried to hold on and remind myself of the situation and what I want when these binge strikes come and it seems to do nothing? I’m aware of the issue....yet the issue persists.

Does anyone go through this type of blockage when they get hungry? Going from a fully motivated state to “screw it” attitude in a blink of an eye?

Hoping by writing this that it flips that switch.

TL/DR: motivation in the morning disappears by the end of the day, and I’m aware of this and still don’t change it because hungry.
