Losing weight is a lot like running.

Just had this realization. When I run I go through a certain mental process towards the end of my route if I'm feeling tired and want to stop. It goes like this:

Am I dying? No.

Any other problems? No.

Can I keep going? Yes.

As I'm sitting here at my computer I had the urge to grab a hoagie roll and just eat it plain despite having had two meals today already. I just went through that same process I did when running:

Am I really that hungry? No.

Do I really need that roll right now? No.

Can I continue on without food? Yes.

And it worked! Going to do this every time I think to have a snack I know will put me over the limit.
