Hey, so this is a bit embarassing but I figure some of you will know what I'm going through, perhaps other Aussies especially as I imagine our scales are standard. My bathroom scale, my friend's bathroom scale, the scale at the pool, the scale at mum's house...none of them register me. I am quite sure that I am above (just above) 150kg, but I can't see the number. That's embarassing enough but I'm sticking strong throughout it..and waiting to see that first number which is where I can start counting from. No, I'm not going to go to the vet to weigh myself :P
I've been doing IF successfully every day for about 5 weeks, 16:8 on average with a few 18:6 and a few 15:9 (oops) and watching my calories to be below 1900, 1500 if I can, and basically lower lower lower as much as I can whilst easing in to the lifestyle change, and learning which things have which calories. Who knew a cup of instant coffee with a splash of milk was worth so much! I am 5'11, so pretty tall, and lightly active (average 8k steps mon-friday, want to get some weight off before moving in to training)
ANYway...as well as a measuring tape, in this early time, what are some other early early signs of success I can look out for? I am desperate to start seeing the numbers go down, but until a regular scale doesn't jeer at me, I need something else. Clothes slightly loose? anything else? my heart rate has been improving, which is nice as heck. I'm within a healthy heart rate range now :)
