Short story: By January 1, 2019, I resolve to weigh 143 lbs.
Longer story: I'm 5'9.5", 32 years old, and female. Over the course of this year, my weight has slowly crept up from the low 150s (where I'm comfortable but not thrilled) to 159. Today at 159, I have had to buy new pants in size 10. I don't want to be back in double digit pants. So, I want to go back to the weight I was happiest, about 10 years ago: 143lbs. That means tracking my calories and staying under 1300/day, running twice a week with my dog, being more careful about my alcohol and cheese intake (both of which make it hard to meet my calorie goal), and staying the hell away from the snack machine at work (which is the source of all bad stress-eating choices).
Intermediate goals include:
- 154lbs by October 8th
- 145lbs by Thanksgiving
I lurk in this thread and you folks have been more helpful than anyone in the past. So, I'm posting today to help me be accountable to you and to myself. If any of you want to join me in your own reverse new year's resolution as well, I'll be thrilled to cheer you on, be your friend on myfitnesspal, and whatever you need.
Thanks for listening.
