My partner's diet is almost comically unhealthy.

(this is mostly a silly rant)

I've never met someone who likes food as unhealthy as him.

He adds tons of oil to everything.

He gets iced coffees and frappuccinos made with HEAVY CREAM INSTEAD OF MILK--and no, he's not trying to go low carb. His drinks all have plenty of sugar in them too.

Yesterday, he got excited because he wanted to come up with a new recipe for "potato chip casserole." So far he's got cheese, ground beef, and *fried chicken tenders *.

He has never bought a pint of ice cream without the intention of eating the whole thing (I remember asking him if he wanted a bowl and he was genuinely confused lol). A few times he's eaten entire half gallons in two days...

If I even utter the words "steamed vegetables" (instead of ones cooked in a vat of oil) or "baked chicken" (instead of fried) or "whole grain" he grimaces and sticks his tongue out.

It's bad. In a year and a half, I don't think we've ONCE shared a meal that was entirely healthy. Which I get that not everyone wants to eat super healthy, but jesus christ...NOT ONE. lol The worst part is, he also often doesn't eat until like 3pm so he's not even the slightest bit overweight. Good for him, but it strengthens his belief that his diet is fine.

He does not care if things are healthy or not, just that they taste good. I was teasing him about it one day and told him the exact nutritional break down of his heavy cream latte and he just goes "aw yeah, damn right." And I understand. I'm not over here trying to eat unsalted plain vegetables and raw tofu. I make delicious, healthy meals. I'm not trying to eat low fat or anything. Most people love the healthy food I cook. But his diet is so bad that it all just tastes bland and gross to him.

Needless to say, he stocks zero healthy food in his house. I'm a broke college student who can't afford to stock two fridges. im dying
