"It's the wrong time to lose weight" Uhm... No.

I find that people I know (parents, some aunt's and uncles, etc.) are really supportive when I try to lose weight because they have and they're way happier and healthier for it.

On the other hand, some people like to say things like "you're supposed to get the summer body, not start losing weight at the end of summer". I just ignore these comments because I know I'm making a better me. But has anyone else encountered this? Like we're supposed to only lose weight at certain times? I made a plan to lose 25-30lbs by Christmas and I feel like everyone's just going to tell me it doesn't matter because I'll gain weight from my birthday/Thanksgiving/Halloween/Christmas anyway.

Sidenote: my best friend hasn't seen me in 2.5 years and I was at my smallest and best back then (relapsed real hard til now). I gained almost 30lbs, more than when I started last time. And she had the nerve to tell me I'm not fat and don't need to lose weight??? She's been 110lbs her whole life and I have always been the fat friend. Like I get the support coming from her like "no you're beautiful the way you are" but it wasn't like that. She literally said I don't need to lose weight I just need to eat healthier. Which is ridiculous because I do eat relatively healthy and she's become and alcoholic??? Sorry just had to get that off my chest. Let me know if you have people who care about you so much they DON'T want you to take care of yourself.
