Okay I know the title is kind of weird. I donated blood for the first time in my life a few days ago. My blood result came out today and it said that my cholesterol level is 204 which is borderline high risk of getting cardiovascular diseases. I’m 1. freaking out and 2. need guidance on what to do. I’m 5’1 and have always been around 100lbs but when I entered college the freshman 15 hit (kind of) and now I’m 112 hence I can finally donate blood since I’m 2lbs over the weight requirement. Anyways, I heard that eating before your blood test doesn’t really affect your cholesterol. I also learned that even if you’re skinny you can have fat built up on your veins and stuff. To be honest I’ve always eaten a lot of sweet. I’m Asian so I eat a lot of rice and pork and whatnot. I’m pretty sure I have to cut those down or cut them out completely. I believe I’m still pretty young so I’m really worried and I want to make sure I change NOW so I won’t die early. Can anyone give me tips to lower my cholesterol? Also I’ve been working out for an hour every other day. I’m thinking of working out on a daily basis now. I’m just really worried about my health. I’ve always thought I was healthy but I guess my body is not that great internally....
Please! Tips will help. Thanks.
