I took the advice of someone else losing weight and bought a food scale today, after much huffing and puffing on my part. I packed my lunch for tomorrow, a salad with chicken, feta, tomatoes, and lettuce. I made my dinner tonight, which was two PB&J sandwiches. I weighed EVERYTHING, and guess what? All the labels on my food were wrong. The bread weighed more than the label stated. The worst was the feta. The label states that 1/4 of a cup, or something around 28 grams is a serving. Well, a 1/4 a cup is like two servings going by the grams. Peanut butter was bad too. Two tablespoons are supposed to be a serving, but when you measure it out according to the calories in grams, one tablespoon is actually a serving. I'm so mad, but I realized why I wasn't losing weight the way I should.
Just go buy a food scale. Your waist line will thank you in a month.
