Exercise recommendations for someone who's morbidly obese?

Hi guys!

To cut a long story short, I've been fighting Binge Eating Disorder for a good 80% of my like. I'm currently sitting at something like 350lbs right now. Probably more, since I can't face the scales, I'm sorry. :(

I'm currently going through therapy and one of the distraction techniques I've been advised (one out of many) is to do something 'physical'. I would like to try some kind of exercise, I'm planning to sign up for my local pool next week when I get my paycheck. But is there anything that I could do in the meantime? (I've also been given techniques to deal with food, I'm just trying to sort out the exercise part.)

My back pain is pretty bad and I walk a bit weirdly (that weird overweight penguin walk.) I have tried the gym but my joints hurt a lot when I go on the machines, especially the treadmill and bike. I've searched exercises for obese people on Youtube but they recommend weights which I don't have the money for right now :/

Is there anything that I could potentially try that wouldn't put too much pressure on my joints (I totally realise there's the no pain-no gain, but it does generally get quite painful after biking after about ten minutes.)

tldr; I am very obese, with the joint problems to go with them. Is there anything that I could try exercise wise that would be easier on my joints?
