I've been overweight since I was 12 years old and right now I'm the thinnest I've ever been. My mom was supportive of my weight loss journey and she was the only person I had to celebrate my victories with, but ever since I got below her weight (we're the same height) her attitude towards me talking about my weight loss has completely changed. She's not interested or makes mean "jokes" that I can tell aren't really jokes. I saw my first 139 on the scale today. I'm so happy, but I don't even want to tell her about it now...
Has anyone else ever dealt with this? People who treat your weight as a competition and only support you until you "beat" them? I'm not trying to compete with anyone, I just want to be healthy and feel good about myself!
