[M/5'4"/28] (SW: 190 CW: 170 GW: 155) A pre-diabetes scare at the beginning of the year started my weight-loss journey. In June I started to take it seriously.

In January I started to be more mindful of what I was eating. The doctor had diagnosed me with prediabetes. It scared the crap out of me. I lost 6 lbs in 6 months. But I knew I wasn't doing everything I could. Diabetes runs in my family and it is not something I want to deal with.

In June I decided to take it much more seriously and started counting calories. In 9 weeks I've lost 12 more pounds. I'm now down to around 170 (It fluctuated between 167 and 170). Recently the scale hasn't been my friend. It hasn't been going as much but I'm trying to increase my fiber intake and incorporate exercise into my lifestyle.

My follow-up Doctor's appointment is at the end of September. I'm very nervous for it but I'm hoping that the test results will come back in my favor.

Progress Picture

The picture on the left is from December 2016. I was approximately 188 lbs. The picture on the right was taken yesterday at approximately 170 lb. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from when I really started my journey.
