Started a Paleo diet (nothing processed and no grain) along with a turmeric-coconut tea about two months ago when I weighed 280 lbs, and since then I am at 259 lbs and with just sparing visits to the gym and massive cravings for beef and spinach. (The tea is meant to help kick your body out of the habit of using glucose for fuel instead of adipose tissue, and at this point fast food just makes me feel ill so I think it worked) Not sure about the beef and spinach though, it may just be iron cravings.
I also recently visited the doctor who was very impressed with my progress, making note of the fact that my systolic blood pressure dropped by 40 points to 120/90 instead of heart attack at 21 and the fact that I was also managing my weight effectively despite sitting in a drivers seat for work 5 out of 7 days a week! (It gets hard to eat healthy on the road when everything is go go go and no time to shop for greens)
I've noticed massive changes in how my body reacts to anything. Instead of getting hungry all the time I feel thirst, I'm not sweating and am even comfortable in 40+ degree celcius days, and even my circadian rhythm is becoming stronger as in I get sleepy when the sun goes down.
I can't wear any of my pants without a belt (and they and all my shirts are super baggy) But so far that's the only negative!
I'm taking a reference photo today, saggy man boobs and all and I'm going to hang a before/after on my wall.
Don't give up!
