How do you guys determine your goal weight?

The calculators that Ive seen give a weight range for healthy weight based on the parameters. The one I just used gave me a range of almost 15 pounds. I guess for people who have only been overweight for a short time they can just remember back. But how about those of us who have been overweight for decades? How do you come up with the number?

I remember a few years ago I got down to 145 or so (from 185). When I started I assumed 145 would be my goal weight but I still looked very overweight in a skinny fat sort of way. I have no idea what my goal weight should be.

And then of course there is the variable of eventually (hopefully) gaining muscle. That is another variable that makes it confusing to me.
