I cook to avoid snacking.

So this whole weight loss thing is going okay. I used to weigh 267 pounds this time last year.

I'm down to 216. I started out slow and just tried to make better choices and then eventually started following CICO about 5 months ago.

I have a huge passion for baking and cooking things. So I'd miss making chocolate chip cookies or brownies. Instead of making them and eating an entire pan full of the mofos, I decided to start baking all the things I couldn't eat and give it away to friends and family.

I realized that I enjoy making brownies way more than eating them. So I've found a (expensive) way to avoid eating over my calorie goal.

I'm also diabetic so it's a bit therapeutic to make desserts for people other than myself.
