I’m currently about 3/4 months in to my weight loss journey and for the last month I feel like I’m plateauing (is that a word?) out.
For context, I’m 6’4 (M) when I started I was 315 pounds, at the start of July I got down to 284 and I am now 280. The first few months I lost weight consistently but this month it just doesn’t seem to be budging.
I go to the gym 4/5 times a week, I lift for 3 days and do cardio the other days, I try to eat 1500 cals or lower and try to hit macros, but I don’t beat myself up about it if I don’t.
I appreciate lifting will be building some muscle but I don’t get how it worked for the first few months and not now, I though the plateau came when your close to your ideal weight?
All in all, I’m hoping to get down to 215 and start to lean out, I know that’s a lot of hard work and it won’t come instantly, but I’m ready to work for it, I’m sick of being obese and unhealthy.
Any thoughts on how to get my weight loss moving again would be appreciated :)
