[Rant] My old scale is wildly inaccurate

Hey all,

I need a little bit of encouragement (maybe a lot). I bought a new digital scale today, because my old analog one was very hard to read and I liked being able to read off a decimal point. Of course, I wanted to compare between the two and honestly, I was shocked. My old scale said 193lbs, the new one says 206. After testing them both with some objects I knew the weight of, it turns out the new scale is right :(

Honestly, I'm so sad and pissed. 193 is high enough, but there's just this mental barrier of 200lbs that I never wanted to cross. I've been doing so well for two months, and now I don't even know if that was accurate because I couldn't trust the scale. These have always been the moments I gave up. I'm definitely not going to give up this time, but it's really hard to swallow that my goal weight is now suddenly 65lbs away instead of 52.

I'm crying a bit. This is really not what I wanted today. It feels like such a huge setback, and it's just not! I've still lost weight and I know I can do this. It just really really sucks that I'm now even higher than my fake "starting weight". Anyway, I need some positive vibes. I want to get up off the couch, dry my face and warm up my spinach and pork chop.
