I've cut way down on my alcohol consumption, hoping it'll help shed some weight

I'm in my thirties, about 60 lbs overweight now (the heaviest i've ever been). For about ten years i've been a heavy drinker (no pun intended). I had been drinking at least twice a week, sometimes three or four times, and most of the times i drank quite a lot This month i decided to quit. In part, to see if i can lose some weight and get healthier, in general... but i'm in a band, and we've had a couple rehearsals, and there's always drinking during rehearsals... So I'm actually still drinking, but a lot less... For instance, on an average month i'd drink about 100 beers or more (probably more)... So far this month i've only had like 20. Man, that still sounds like a lot... but trust me, it hasn't felt that way. So let's say i've cut down the alcohol by around 75%. I don't get much exercise, except for some walking, and an hour of soccer per week. I feel a lot better, I sleep a lot better too, and it hasn't even been one month. The goal is to quit drinking entirely, but i couldn't manage doing it cold turkey... just trying to phase it out. I'm wondering if I should expect some noticeable weight loss within a certain period of time
