Finally ready to post progress pics 35M

I have been following this subreddit and was very motivated by everyone’s progress pictures. I am really excited to finally post my own:

I am 6’1” (1.85m), my starting weight was 237 pounds (107.5 kilos) and my current weight is 170 pounds (77.1 kilos). It took me about 1.5 years to hit my goal weight, but I lapsed a bunch of times. Each time I lapsed, I made it longer and longer without lapsing again. I honestly believe I have permanently changed the way I eat now.

I did not follow any kind of specific diet. I only limited myself to 1600 calories per day. That being said, I learned that it is a lot easier to limit calories on a diet of things like rice & beans, raw vegetables, fish, and nuts. For exercise, I mostly swam and ran on dirt/sand trails.
