stubborn body fat 👎

I’m 5’5 165cm and currently weigh 55/56kg. I started trying to build muscle and lose weight after gaining 14lbs but I can’t seem to shift it at all!! In the past 7 months I have managed to lose 2/4lbs but I’ve started gaining weight again.

I usually eat anywhere between 1500-1700 calories, walk around 10k - 15k steps daily and have started incorporating 30 mins of Pilates everyday. I will have occasional days of drinking/overeating but this is only once or twice every few weeks and on these days I usually increase my workouts and step count.

I’m at a complete loss, I’ve always had a big issue with losing weight but it seems to have gotten even worse. I also always look a lot heavier than I am because of bloating, swelling and fat distribution with most of it going to my face and arms.

Any tips would be really appreciated :(

at my heaviest (~january 2023) i was at 205 lbs. with calorie counting and essentially no exercise i made it to 163.5 lbs in september 2024...
