What do you think this could be?

5 days ago I decided to get serious again about losing weight. A couple of years ago I lost 20 pounds by calorie counting, and I lost weight every week. Now I just weighed myself 5 days into me being in a caloric deficit and walking everyday, and the scale says I gained 1.8 pounds. I am so confused! I know how to accurately count calories to lose weight and I’ve even been hungry during these past five days so I know I’m in a deficit; however the scale says I gained. What do you think this could be?
