I am currently stressed over how to calculate how many calories I should be eating everyday, in order to lose fat. I just don’t want to eat so much that I will put on weight or eat so little that my metabolism will suffer.
My stats: 26 y/o, F, 125 lbs, 5’2.
When calculating my TDEE, it’s around 1,700 calories (average I got from using multiple TDEE calculators). And then when I subtract a 500 calorie deficit, it leaves me with around 1,200 calories, which is SUPER low.
For a month now, I’ve been aiming for 1,200 almost 1,300 calories a day. But I do feel low in energy, my metabolism is so slow, I’m not seeing any difference in my weight.
I have also been consistent in the gym every week. Mostly weight lifting (since I’m not good at cardio) 2 upper body days and 2 lower body days to start. But I still consider myself sedentary since I work from home and sit for long periods of time.
Am I missing something? I would appreciate input, as I am frustrated :( thanks in advance!!
