Gift Advice

First of all I apologize if this type of question doesn't belong here. I'm trying to find a Christmas gift for my dad that will encourage him to exercise and eat healthier. He is around 300 pounds and refuses to exercise or do anything more than walking from his room to the kitchen. He eats relatively healthy things but he has about 6-8 large meals each day. Years of nagging from me and my family has done nothing. I was thinking that maybe a gift would get him started or at least give him a small spark of motivation but I don't know what that gift would be. Maybe a fitbit or diet books? Please help.

Edit: The comments made me realize that I would be a total douche if I made Christmas about his weight. Thank you for saving me from ruining his Christmas. I have bought a nice pair of bluetooth headphones instead.
