Alright, I’ll admit it, I’m not the most patient of people. But I’m finding it hard not be disheartened. I’m 5 weeks into my lifestyle change now and according to the scale I have not lost much. I’m also taking measurements and they don’t seem to have budged at all.
Age: 27
Female
Height: 5’6
Starting weight: 80.4kg
Current weight: seem to be fluctuating between 78.6kg and 79.4kg.
Calorie intake: 1300-1400 (and I don’t eat back the exercise calories) with main focus on high protein and moderate carbs and fat.
Exercise: weightlifting 4 x a week for 30-40 mins.
Daily activity: I’m quite sedentary as I’m a web developer so spend a lot of time sat at a computer.
No health conditions - I had half of my thyroid removed back in 2015 but have regular thyroid checks which have recently come back normal.
When I’ve lost weight in the past it’s happened quite quickly. Based on the info above, am I doing anything wrong? Do I need to add some cardio (oh god I hate cardio haha)? Do I need more of a deficit? Even at 1400 it’s a bit of a struggle!
Or, of course, by all means tell me that I’m being ridiculous and to be more patient! Just looking for some moral support really.
