Hi all, previous Reddit lurker who's looking to get started on losing weight. I'm 21M, 300lbs. I've never considered the practicalities of losing weight before, and now that I want to start I am looking for some answers. Thanks in advance to all of you who answer, I'll reply as I can today as I'm about to be starting work.
First of all, what's a reasonable goal to set? Losing weight is going to include a lot of work + maintenance, but I'd like to see what I can lose in the next year.
Next, I've seen a couple posts on here mentioning CICO, but I'm not entirely clear on the details/recommended practices. Could someone send me a link with some details? I'm also looking for a useful calorie counting app on my phone, any recommendations?
Last, I've begun going to the gym to take walks, and eventually will work my way up to using the machines and whatnot. In the meantime, what are some good at-home exercises I can do, for days that I can't make it to the gym?
