Hey everyone, currently weighing in at 22 stone and 1 pound (140.2 kg or 309 pounds). At my heaviest I was 22 stone 7 pounds. So I've lost a little bit of weight (thanks to the cold I had, I completely lost my appetite for a short while). I really, really, really want to lose weight. I want to get to at least 15 stone and then 10 stone (I don't feel like that's possible at the moment, but I know it is with time and effort). I seem to be at an impasse right now. I'm not gaining anything, but I'm not losing anything either. I used to buy fast food everyday, but have gone completely cold turkey on that and now only have fast food once a week on treat day. I'm now only eating baked crisps (chips for you Americans out there!) as opposed to fried ones, I mainly make homemade meals now, I have low fat yogurts, etc. However, the problem is when I make homemade meals, I make massive portions that can feed about 4 people. I know that's my problem, oh, and also the fact that I tend to eat at night as well. I'm still eating a lot, but it's not fast food any more. But the thing is, I really don't want to be eating, but I'm always, always hungry. My dietitian said that my stomach will shrink if I have smaller portions and eat less. But how can I eat less if I'm always hungry?! I did read up about leptin resistance and I think I may have that.
Like I said earlier in the post, I kind of at an impasse, so I want to exercise, but it hurts so much when I walk for 10+ minutes. It hurts below my knees. I know you can lose weight without exercise if you're morbidly obese (which I am) but I don't want to be stuck in the house all day. I already have mental health issues and being stuck in the house makes them worse, however, I might have a small job at a cafe! So my mind will be occupied. However, I don't see the point in exercising if I keep eating a lot of food. For example, I still eat quite a bit, but it's no where as bad as the fast food I used to always consume. My bingeing is actually worse at night than in the evening. People say to drink water, but I don't fancy water, also my stomach is hungry after 20 minutes after drinking the water!
Does anyone else experience this kind of stuff? I mean, should I just ride out the hunger pains? I surely can't be hungry even after I've had a meal? I don't know if there's something wrong with my brain or stomach.
