Sorry if this subject has been posted countless times before, but i have nowhere to really turn. I’ve been active pretty much my entire life up until the past 3 years. I’m currently a college student that finds comfort in eating for dealing with stress. This has caused a lot of problems for me.
I weigh just over 200lbs which is overweight for my height (6’0”) as most of it is body fat. I have found myself struggling extremely hard to get motivated to workout. I used to love working out, but now it’s just more of a chore. 2 years ago i signed up with an online trainer and i lost 28 lbs in about 10 weeks. The diet he had was basically just chicken and lean ground turkey/beef. I realized eating like that was not enjoyable at all, therefore not a long-lasting lifestyle for me.
So here i am today after trying IIFYM over and over and over again but i always fall out of it. Maybe it’s pure laziness (though i feel its more than that), but i find that i’m lacking the motivation i need to get over this ‘wall’ i’m stuck behind. Are there any tips/advice that anyone can offer me that will help me get that drive back? Any dieting advice or advice on being mentally stronger? Thanks for any and all replies in advance. This really means a lot to me.
