A day of firsts

Tonight I'm heading to the local pool for open lap swim. It's been years since I was in a pool for exercise, and I'm unbelievably excited/nervous to get started. I've always loved to swim, but always hated to be in a bathing suit around people. I know I'll be slow and that's ok, I just have to find a way to focus on why I'm there, and not on what people (probably don't) think. The insomnia in my life is real, and I'm really hoping that getting into a regular routine will help me get some precious, precious sleep.

It also happens to be my first post ever on Reddit after lurking forever and ever, so I apologise if my formatting is awful. I've found a lot of help in this community, and while I'm still working on getting my food/tracking/mindset right, I'm excited to learn more and hopefully share some victories. Wish me luck!
