first off i’m new to reddit lol i’m not sure how to even use it but my bf is addicted to it and he has a disease so he’s gotten a lot of advice from here and this is basically his home base for social media (im more of a twitter girl myself) so i decided to give it a try
in 2017 i lost 25 pounds in two and a half months, i went from 198 to 172 because i worked out everyday and ate well. i also worked at a fast food job, so i was doing at least 8k steps a day. long story short my bf got sick, i stopped caring, got depressed, smoked a lot of weed, moved across the country, now i’m 241 pounds. LOL right. i am currently 241 and i would like to be at 170, where i was really happy with my body. im 5’5 if that matters.
i am trying to lose weight and i know i’ve only been working out for a week but i aim to do cardio and lose 1000 calories on the treadmill everyday (which is about 3 miles at 12 incline and 3.2 speed) + high arm reps and low weight (30lb) and squats. the same exact thing as i did before to lose weight. it was a complete 360 for me, i ate out a lot and drank soda and i work at a desk job so i’m sitting down for 8 hours a day. i changed my diet a week before this, but started working out everyday this past monday. i don’t eat bad at all, literally. i’ve been working my butt off to see results for the week, at least ONE pound. instead i have not lost ONE single pound. in fact i GAINED A POUND!!! i’m just confused because i lost 25 pounds in 2.5 months and now that i’m waaaay heavier than i was before how am i not dropping weight easier? can anyone explain this to me or like am i not doing it right? am i just being impatient? it’s so discouraging :(
AND YES I KNOW it’s only been a week but ONE POUND!! seriously not even one!!!!! WHHHYYYYY
