I'm trying to work out how CICO works. Using a Fitbit Charge 3 to help me out. Aiming to lose about 20 or so pounds. (Currently 11st 10lbs/75kg/@166lbs) and 5"5', 23 y/o female. My fitbit has my BMR at around 1504 kcal per day if I do nothing.
I'm trying to figure out where to calculate my deficit. MFP has me on 1410 kcal per day to lose 2lbs a week. I play contact sport and work in childcare, so I'm fairly active (averaging 15,000 steps a day and closer to 22k or 29k on training days with sport).
So those days fitbit has my total kcal at 2,900 burned a day. Should I then be subtracting 500 from that or go with my lower level?
MFP links with my fitbit and gives me extra calories, but gives me almost 1000. Currently sorting out my food habits but should I aim to stay as close to the 1400 as possible, or adjust it for days I train? Very confused here!
