too much or too little? (r/fitness wont let me post there)

hello I am fairly new poster and have been working out everyday for about a week. Im not so knowledgeable on fitness though. Im 22 about 245 pounds 5'10 male decently muscular but chubby. I do 60 pushups, situps and now squats twice a day and go to the apartment gym twice a week. I have cut out sugar filled drinks like soda and milk shakes from my diet accept for once a week on tuesdays when i go to burgerking and get a regular sized whoper meal and maybe a small thing of nugets (no refilling soda). I have also dedicated myself to eating oatmeal for breakfast (1 spoon brown sugar) and something from the fit fare menu at my work for lunch (under 600 calories) and what ever is for dinner that day and a fruit and vegetable smoothy after work. I plan to increase my reps by 5 every 1 week to 2 weeks. I used to attend gold gym when i was 17 in the foreseable future. also i work at a dennys so im on my feet pretty much 6 hours a day. is this to much to be sustainable or too little to be affective. any help is appreciated and sorry for any misinformation.

P.S. the mods at r/fitness do not seem like a very polite lot.
