23(f), 5"4, 180lbs
About 2 years ago I was down 40lbs, felt amazing, and was finally a healthy weight since I was like 10. It was amazing. However, despite researching, learning about maintenance, I still gained it all back slowly over the course of a year, and started back exactly where I started! I was angry of course, ashamed, sad. I stopped posting selfies, etc.
After trying a couple times over the next couple of years and not succeeding with CICO, I finally found my rhythm again and have lost 6lbs. I have been feeling really good about it this time. I believe last time I was not eating enough, (Would cut to 1000 cals a lot) and really limited my diet, and developed IBS. But this time, I am still eating breads, pasta, etc. Ive always loved veggies and fruit, so Ive always ate a lot of those anyway. This time, I haven't felt hungry at all, and since I have been using a scale to literally weigh ALL my food (I didnt do it as much last time, may have even been eating less calories :( ) I am shocked at how much I CAN eat! Its been really great.
Yesterday I was hanging out with my best friend, when he told me he was getting married, and wanted me to stand for him. Of course I said yes! He also said though that the wedding was already planned for August. I was quite shocked, as thats really fast for a wedding. But at the same time, this also gives me more of a reason to keep working hard and keep the weight off for good! I am determined to look good for my best friends wedding, and determined to keep it off permanently, even if it means weighing food for the rest of my life!
