Motivation Hacks

I had just about 100 pounds to lose when I started this journey. I've lost 18 pounds and I know that's great but I don't feel or look different enough to stay amped about it.

I love reading people's progress and seeing pics but lately it's felt like I'm just never going to get there. Onederland feels light years away and moving out of "obese" category is even farther.

But then it occurred to me that 18/100 is nearly 20% and 20% is a BFD. I'd be stoked to get 20% off something I wanted to buy, because it's significant! And it's a significant amount of weight, too!

And somehow, that was enough to pull me back off the ledge and feel pumped about my progress again.

Have you ever had to shift your thinking just a little to refresh your perspective and motivation? What did you do?
