I have been a longtime lurcker and lifetime huge ass dude. I am male, 34yo, 6 foot 6 inches tall, and started my journey on February 12th at a whopping 403lb. I downloaded the myfitnesspal app that so many on reddit referred. I started with cico because for me it was the more feasible option. I learned that I was easily eating 4000-5000 calories daily. I created a deficit by only eating 1500-1800 calories a day. I was always the "big guy" or "you carry it well" or my personal favorite "you really won't look good or right thinner". I don't have body image problems. I have always not minded being big. However with age things have begun to change and effect my health. Tough to admit but normal movement was becoming harder. Breathing, sleeping, playing with my kids, sex with my wife all deteriorating exponentially as I continued to pack on pounds. So enough was enough and March 1st I also joined a gym and have been consistently going and working out for the first time in my life. My brother is a weight training nut and I reached out to him for help. He emailed me an entire 12 week weight lifting routine that I am 2 weeks in on. I feel amazing from the lifting and cardio. As of today I am 383. Twenty pounds in about a month is awesome and I feel ready to deal with problems because of all of you on the forum. Thank you all.
Edit: WOW everyone thank you for the kindness and thank you anonymous gold giver that was my first gold ever on reddit! I will update soon and post pics when I'm ready.
