I'm down 10 lbs!

I've always been on the bigger side and I'd come to accept it. About once a year for the past few years my girlfriend would tell me that it would do me some good to lose some weight, cue some half assed dieting and going back to old habits.

Last month she brought it up again and something just clicked. I dunno how else to describe it. I downloaded my fitness pal and scanned the wrappers I found in my room. Croissant? 300 calories. Bar of cadburys? 500 calories. I decided that something had to be done. I wanted to try Keto, but realistically it wasn't possible (I'm in college in India where we don't have access to kitchens and the food is 90% carbs) so I figured CICO is the way to go.

I got myself a scale and decided to give it a go. I cut my calorie intake to less than half - 3300~ to 1300-1400 a day. On top of that, our campus is massive so I average 4-5 miles a day on my bicycle. Funnily enough, I can't eat huge amounts of food like I used to now. My girlfriend (who is surprised and very pleased at this new found determination) went out to dinner (I'd budgeted my calories so I'd have a thousand left) and we ate less than what we'd eat before but more than I'm eating now and I felt bloated the next day. I'm discovering that after starting CICO, I can no longer eat certain kinds of food as they'll make me feel like shit later but I'm not complaining - I'm determined to eventually hit 155 and I've got 53~ left to go. I'm also surprised at how easy it's been after the first day or two. It's become second nature for me to track my food, count calories, etc and I'm hoping it stays this way.
