Coming from slightly disordered eating where IÄve lost a bunch of weight eating very little, then having a lot of binges and cycling between restriction and binging, I've put on a good 40ish lbs in the last year from the 60ish lbs I've lost.
I really want to lose them again, but not do the same mistakes again. Being quite short I have to eat pretty little to actually lose weight and I get very obsessive when counting and tracking everything, so althought CICO does work, it often makes me binge and feel restricted. I found that eating intuitively, so only when hungry and stopping when satisfied makes me feel much more free (althought I still count the calories in my head often) and not so restricted - I can go out with friends and just see wether I'm in the mood for ice cream or not, and not have all black and white thinking.
So it sounds mentally healthier to built a better intuitive eating ground, but I'm really scared I won't lose with this or even gain if I don't track (there a small things that add up SO fast when you don't track them! Some nuts here, a hard candy there, like this).
So, has anyone lost weight by actually just tuning in with their body (a concept that was surprisingly new to me before!)?
