Hey ya’ll. My name is Vee. I’m a college instructor and web designer. I’ve been overweight my whole life but always very healthy and active, so I never worried all that much about losing. And then I decided I wanted to join the service. I can’t even be considered until I’m down to 155ish from 276.
My high was actually 288. In the past few weeks, I’ve begun completely changing my life. In addition to IF and a medically supervised diet (which is technically “a ketogenic diet,” but I’m eating more net carbs than true keto), I’ve also started jogging and lifting in addition to the swimming I already do. I also signed up for my first 5k in a few weeks. I’m also working on pushups and sit ups for the Air Force BMT/OTS requirements.
Mostly I’m here for support, advice, friends and the like as I undertake this journey. I’ve never wanted something so bad in my life.
