Bought a new scale and I'm actually 5kg heavier than I thought...

I feel so demotivated, I thought I was so dman close to my first milestone of 80kg, a thought that has helped me through some serious battles with BED, but bought a new scale and turns out I'm still so far away.

I had been using a scale that was my mum's that she says is even older than me, as she had it when she was single, making it about 34 years old. I didn't realise it has to be calibrated every so often, and turns out it had drifted to being about 5kg out (about 11lbs) and I'm much heavier than I thought.

I'm really, really finding it hard to not let this knock me, but I feel like I've taken a massive step back that's making me just want to give up :(

Any encouraging words of advice?
