I just got back from a trip to Disneyland with my family, and allowed myself a few days of indulgence. It's really rare for me to take a cheat day, and I'm pretty strict on myself when it comes to counting calories and exercising. I struggle with binging (and had a few unfortunate moments during the trip), but am still slowly working towards my goal.
I tried a TON of food (See them here!), and although I shared most of it with my family, I still ate way too much. It was hard for me to accept that it was okay to eat in excess on vacation, but I still had a good time with it.
I have to say that my physical experience at Disney is much different now as compared to when I was obese. I used to get tired out extremely quickly, and by the end of the first day my feet would be screaming in agony. I'm proud to say that I walked over 12 miles both days, and was very high energy throughout the day! I loved speed walking between different areas, and for once I was the one offering to zip across the park to grab fastpasses for everyone. It's so much less painful and I feel so much more free now that I'm not carrying all the extra weight. It's crazy how much a certain experience can change after losing weight!
