So to make a long story short I've been steadily seeking to lose weight and have been eating healthier and better overall although I still have occasional vices and my cheat days. I weighed myself a few days ago and my scale was steadily showing I lost weight from 188 to 183 over the course of a few days which was great. I worked on Friday and went out, now, it was my cheat day but I didn't go too overboard. I had three bottles of Mtn Dew Code Red which amounts to 280 calories per bottle, as well as half a stick of starburst fave reds, and two small slices of Little Caesars Pizza. I was also walking around quite a bit that day. When I woke up from a friends and went home expecting to be in the 185 region, maybe maintain 183, but my scale now said I was 205lbs! Um, excuse me, but what the hell happened? I thought maybe the batteries weren't working or it was just water weight. I got home today from work and put in some new AAA batteries and it now says I'm 201 of which it also said yesterday. So I "dropped" some pounds but the weight is still waaaay overboard. I'm totally confused and in shock. Even if I ate an entire pizza to myself there's no way I would have gained that much. I mean I've done that sort of thing in the past but after a few days my weight would go back to normal. This isn't even close! Can anybody explain this? Is it possible something is up with the scale? Or did I really managed to gain fifteen+ pounds over the course of a day and a half? Do scales get faulty on occasion? I understand it isn't normal to weigh myself everyday but even so I usually considered the "region" I was in adding plus or minus 2 to 3 lbs but like I said prior this is way overboard. I've never in my life weighed this much before! Can anybody help me on what this could be? Should I get a new scale?
