I started C25k summer 2015 because I wanted to lose weight. When I started I couldn’t run one block. Since then my weight has fluctuated (thanks, pregnancy!) but I stuck to running as a cheap and easy way for me to burn calories. I used CICO on and off but focused on consistent running. With two little kids at home it wasn’t always easy to sneak off to the gym but I could push myself to run early or late while they were sleeping.
It was never a goal for me to run very long distances, I just wanted to lose weight. Sunday I ran my first marathon. I just wanted to come here and tell you that you can, too. This community was always encouraging for me, and I hope I can encourage someone else.
5’9” Highest Weight: 225 post-baby, 200 pre-pregnancy. CW: 147 GW: 145
