1 year progress. Down 62 pounds overall, counting calories and daily exercise.

Last February I hit 252 and was almost back to my weight oh junior year of high school. I was at 270 and decided to start riding my road back and lose the weight. I went into college at 210, the lightest I had been since 5th grade.

As college continued, the gym visits slowed and the weight came back. I was always “athletic” and would surprise people because “ I moved fast for a big guy”. I was proud of that. Doing a cartwheel always blew my students minds.

Then last year I got tired of it. I hated the way my clothes fit. I had always hated that, and I had avoided the scale for years knowing what the answer would be. So last year I decided I need a jumpstart so I stepped on one, accepted my weight and started the diet. 1200 calories a day, plus I joined planet fitness. This was easier during the school year as work only let me eat during certain times. No snacking while you have students. The weekends were difficult but I kept it up and the cravings went away eventually.

In June I hit my goal of below 200 pounds but wanted to keep going. I have now been bouncing around 195, which I’m fine with because I started eating to gain muscle, but still do my best to stay in a choleric deficit. Im finally happy with most of my body. Im just afraid I might have started this journey too late and my skin may never bounce back.

The only thing I would change is that I wish I had stated this earlier.
