Hi lovely losers, with the new year upon us I have been rethinking some of my "whys" as to why I want to / need to get to a healthy weight. And I would love to hear yours too!!
Here are mine (in no particular order);
- to run a half marathon - I know that I can run a half marathon whilst obese BUT my knees are already mad at me for running a few miles, and I want to build up my fitness and make it as easy on my joints as possible. Carrying an extra 70lbs is not helping my cause.
- To reduce my health risks - My obese mum died of breast cancer before she was 50 and my barely 60 year old dad has a significantly lower quality of life than most people his age due to his diabetes and heart problems associated with his, also obese, weight. I really really don't want to be in either of their positions by their ages, or even before.
- To look hotter - Let's be honest, who doesn't want to feel hot as fuck in their own skin?
- To buy non-plus size clothing - I am sick of not wearing the cute clothes I want because the shops I like don't stock over a UK14/16 (looking at you topshop you fuckers). Also I'm dying for a vintage pair of Levi mom jeans and apparently no one before the 90's had a waist over 34inch...
